FAQ’s

  • I provide online grief therapy for women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and couples who are navigating the pain of loss and the anxiety and disconnections that often come with it. Grief can affect not only how you feel day to day, but also how you connect with yourself and the people you love. For many, it stirs up insecure relationship patterns, insecurities, or fears that feel hard to untangle alone. My approach is grounded in attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and grief-informed care. Together, we’ll honor your loss, explore your emotional world, and build a sense of security that makes room for love, connection, and healing.

  • I specialize in supporting women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and couples navigating grief, attachment challenges, and relationship anxiety. My approach is informed by years of experience in oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life settings—work that revealed how deeply loss shapes not only individuals but also the bonds that sustain them.

I’m passionate about helping people feel connected, even in the midst of uncertainty, and about strengthening relationships with both self and others when life feels heavy or unclear.

In therapy, I help clients understand their attachment patterns, honor their grief, and cultivate new ways of relating that foster greater emotional security, intimacy, and connection. My goal is to provide a space where both love and loss can be held with compassion.

  • Sessions are typically 50–53 minutes and take place virtually. Your needs guide each session and what feels most meaningful or essential in the moment.

Therapy for bereaved individuals—especially in the tender, early stages after loss—often looks different than therapy for anxiety or even therapy later in one’s grief experience. Each person and couple deserves a therapeutic approach as unique as their story. Some may find comfort and security in structure and “homework,” while others may not. Both are valid.

There may be times when more structure is introduced, especially in grief counseling for couples who are working to rebuild their connection. Whether you’re seeking a space for gentle reflection or guided support, sessions are tailored to meet you where you are.

  • Attune Therapy Practice is a private-pay practice and does not accept insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for therapy sessions. You can quickly check your benefits and submit claims through our partner, Mentaya.

Please note that Medicare does not allow for reimbursement using superbills.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to work with clients who are covered by Medi-Cal, even if they wish to pay out of pocket. I know this can feel limiting, and I want to acknowledge how important access to care is. If you're currently covered by Medi-Cal, I recommend reaching out to providers within your network or exploring local community mental health resources that accept your coverage. If you're not sure where to begin, I'm happy to point you toward a few options.
