Therapy for Anxiety
You’ve learned to push through stress, but the worry never really stops. You want to feel calm without losing the part of you that cares so deeply.
When worry takes over, anxiety has a way of creeping into every corner of life. You might appear as though everything is okay, but under the surface, your body and mind feel stuck on high alert. Even the most minor stressors feel overwhelming, and no matter how much you tell yourself to “calm down,” the thoughts won’t let go. It can feel like you’re living with a constant hum of tension you can’t switch off.
You may:
Criticize yourself for being “too sensitive” or “too much.”
Find yourself overthinking and second-guessing, even in your closest relationships.
Avoid bringing up your needs because you’re afraid of conflict.
Lie awake at night replaying conversations or worrying about what’s ahead.
How therapy helps:
Anxiety often leaves you wondering if you’ll ever feel steady again, or if this is just who you are. With support, anxiety doesn’t have to take the lead anymore. Imagine moving through your day with a calmer body and a clearer mind, able to focus on the present without always bracing for what’s next. Relationships begin to feel safer when you can express yourself without fear of being “too much” or pushing others away.
Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes, tough love, or pretending everything is fine. It’s about slowing down, making space for what you’re carrying, and gently getting curious about how your struggles connect to the life you’ve lived. Whether you’re coming in with grief, anxiety, or relationship challenges, you’ll find a space that feels collaborative, compassionate, and easy to be yourself in.
Together, we’ll look at how loss, transitions, and caregiving have shaped the way you show up now. We’ll make sense of the patterns that leave you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unseen, and explore the ways you’ve learned to protect yourself, even when those strategies no longer fit. This work is warm and relational, with room for humor when it helps, and is grounded in approaches such as attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and grief-informed care.
